The Mission Cooperative Program (MCP) of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala serves as a channel for connecting the pastoral and developmental needs of the Diocese with individuals, organisations, parishes, dioceses, and other generous collaborators willing to support the Church’s mission in the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala.
Through this office, we seek support for our many pastoral, educational, healthcare, Humanitarian, and grassroots evangelization initiatives, especially among the poor and the vulnerable communities entrusted to our pastoral care.
MISSION PARTNERSHIP
The Mission Appeal Office of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala is committed to building strong and lasting collaboration with individuals, parishes, dioceses, Catholic organisations, charitable foundations, institutions, and other well-meaning people who desire to support the mission of the Church.
The Church is missionary by nature. The work of evangelization goes beyond preaching the Gospel alone; it also involves responding to the needs of people and communities and helping them experience the love, dignity, and hope that Christ brings. In many communities within the Diocese, there are significant pastoral, educational, social, and infrastructural needs that require the collaboration of people and organisations beyond the immediate resources of the Diocese.
Mission partnerships provide an opportunity to respond to these needs together. Through such partnerships, resources, expertise, prayers, ideas, and opportunities can be shared for the advancement of the Church’s mission.
CURRENT PROJECTS
The Diocese is currently identifying and developing projects that respond to some of the most pressing needs of our people. These include; support for the education of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) children living in camps as a result of Christian persecution, donation of 36 motor bikes to Catechists across the Diocese to facilitate grassroots evangelization, building of the immaculate conception minor seminary wever-Ngibo, provision of boreholes for access to clean and safe water, electricity and transformer projects for Christian communities with no access to electricity and other pastoral and community development initiatives.
These projects are intended to improve the quality of life of our people while creating an environment where evangelisation and human development can flourish. We continue to welcome partners who can support these initiatives financially, materially, or through technical expertise.
DONATION OPPORTUNITIES
Your generosity can become an important part of the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala.
